Carport Roof Specifications

Where the Insulated Aluminium Hard Roof is installed under a home roof, an eaves-trough must be installed on the house to avoid significant amounts of water being dumped on the roof from the house. The Kit includes a track and a roof receiver extrusion, .075" wall thickness, to accept the roof panels, which is installed on the home. The roof is made of 1 pound expanded polystyrene vacuum pressed to .024" stucco embossed aluminium skin on both sides. The aluminium has a powder coated white paint finish. The thickness of the insulated roof varies from 3"-6" depending on the length of the roof projection and the customer's needs. The greater the thickness of the roof, the greater the strength and the higher the insulation value. The roof panels are 4' wide and are joined by a .075" wall thickness extrusion (.08" on the 6" thick roof panels) which forms an "I" beam for greater strength. A "U" shaped extrusion is placed under the roof on the opposite side to where the roof is attached to the home. This extrusion provides additional structural support for the roof. In addition aluminium posts are attached to this extrusion every 8 feet. The Kit comes with a gutter for the front and fascia for the sides, all with wall thickness of .075". Optional color aluminum strips can be purchased to dress up the fascia and gutter. All parts in the kit are made of rust resistant aluminium. |
